New PiKA Iota Beta Blog

Today is the 8th Annual Iota Beta Alumni Association Tailgate vs. New Mexico State.  This also makes an excellent time to start our brand new Blog.  A place to share memories, pictures, event information and all things as it pertains to our awesome alumni association.

Anything having to do with the Alumni Association or Pi Kappa Alpha for that matter, always seems to bring up memories of Joe Ravizza.  This tailgate today is going to have a little emptiness about it because our dear brother can no longer join us in person.  Let's remember Joe for a moment.

Joseph Anthony Ravizza was born on July 14, 1970, in San Jose, Ca. and left this world very suddenly on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, in Valencia, Ca. Joe spent his 39 years of life enjoying every day. He was known for his laugh, always present smile and sense of humor. Joe was loved by everyone that knew him. His family and friends will never be the same without him in their lives.
Joe's, interest were basketball, baseball, football, sports collection and memorabilia, and fantasy sports. He was a life long LA. Saint Louis Rams fan and San Francisco Giants fan. He was a graduate of California State University Fresno with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He had been employed as a Territory Business Manager for the last 12 years with Bristol Myers Squibb Pharmaceuticals. While at CSUF he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, He continued to be involved as an alumni and dearly loved his fraternity.
Joe's biggest and best accomplishments in life were his family. He and Lori were married for 13 years and were blessed with the birth of their twin daughters Hanna and Holly in 1999 and Jenna in 2003. Joe was meant to be the father of daughters. He taught them how to play sports, ride bikes, tie their shoes, and live life to the fullest. Never a day went by where he didn't tell them how much he loved them and how proud he was of them.
Joe is preceded in death by his father Louis Ravizza.
Joe is survived by wife, Lori of Clovis; daughters Hannah, Holly and Jenna Ravzza of Clovis; mother Melanie Ravizza of Hollister; parents in law Bill and Glenda Caballero of Fresno and Eddie and Karen Comstock of Fresno; sister and brother in law, Susan Ravizza and Brian Azar of Michigan' Brother in law Ryan Comstock of Montana; Brother and sister in law Kasey and Brittany Comstock of Fresno; two nephews and one niece. Joe is also survived by numerous lifelong friends, college friends, work friends and Pi Kappa Alpha brothers.

Let's also remember to thank the brothers who put a lot of time and effort into bringing this tailgate together:
